Syracuse is located in the southeast corner of the island of Sicily, right by the Gulf of Syracuse next to the Ionian Sea.
Miasto zostało założone przez starożytnegych grekow Koryntiana i Teneansa w 734 albo 733 r.p.n.e. Syracuse był sprzymierzeńcem Sparty i Koryntu , wywierając wpływ na całym obszarze Wielkiej Grecji , której była najważniejszym miastem-panstwem. Jest to miejsce narodzin Archidemesa.
The city was founded by Ancient Greek Corinthians and Teneans in 734 or 733 BC. Syracuse was allied with Sparta and Corinth, exerting influence over the entire Magna Graecia area of which it was the most important city-state. It is the birthplace of Archidemes.

Uwielbiam to miejsce, urzekło mnie od razu. Mieszanina stylów, zakamarki małych uliczek tworzy cudowny klimat. Trudno jest poznać to miejsce na raz. Spedziłam tam dzien, a szczerze to głównie widziałam obrzeża. Ale to dobry powód by tam wrócić!
I love this place, I was immediately captivated. The mixture of styles, a lot of small streets creates a wonderful atmosphere. It is difficult to know the place at one day. I spent all day there, and i didn't sow everything. But it's a good reason to go back!

Następny punkt wycieczki to Plazza del Doumo i przepiękna katedra, która była kiedyś świątynią Ateny.
Cudownie było usiąść na schodach i patrzeć na toczące sie włoskie życie:
Next point of the tour was Plazza del Duomo and its magnificent cathedral, which was once the temple of Athena. It was wonderful to sit on the stairs and to look at the ongoing italian life:
